THANKS FOLKS

While I wanted to do virtually all of the work on the car on my own, considerable credit must go to those who supported and helped me along the way. In particular to -

Val

Who let me have the time to hide away in the lockup to get on with the build. But more for looking interested and saying "Oh, that's nice" (in an almost sincere way when I knew that she wasn't in the slightest interested).

Osy

For the use of tools; a wee bit turning on his lathe; some brazing and lots of encouragement and faith!

Gordon at the Garage

For practical mechanical advice; for ordering parts; the use of his transporter and tools, especially his oxyacetylene(!).

Ian and Sue

For the use of their garage at a time of need.

The Kirkaldy boys (Bob, Alan and David)

For always being that wee jump ahead of me and thus encouraging me; for advice and for just being genuine guys.

Stephen Curle

For winding me up when we were both starting out building together. Stephen, I beat you to the finished article!

And finally....

to the book Sams Teach Yourself HTML and XHTML in 24 Hours (ISBN: 0-672-32076-2). If you stick with the book for the full 24 hours you should be able to do all sorts of clever things that don't appear on this site. I created this site in Notepad (without any fancy software AND without any previous design experience) in about 5 hours. (Typing the text and scanning the photographs took a bit longer!) Yes, I know I could have done it in MS Word then simply hit the Save as HTML Document button - but where's the fun in that?
